リュックに昆虫３６００匹、電車の中でばらまき容疑逮捕

　京阪電鉄の電車内で昆虫の幼虫をばらまき乗客に迷惑をかけたとして、大阪府警は２４日、会社員水田学容疑者（３５）＝兵庫県西宮市上大市２丁目＝を威力 業務妨害の疑いで現行犯逮捕した。枚方署によると、「足をばたつかせて驚く女性の姿を見たかった」と供述しているという。京阪電車では同様の被害が今月に 入り、今回も含めて計１９件起きており、同署は関連の有無も調べている。

　同署によると、水田容疑者は同日午前１０時５分ごろ、大阪府寝屋川市内の京阪本線を走行中の中之島発出町柳行き臨時特急電車（８両編成）内で、釣 りのエサなどに使われる幼虫「ミールワーム」約２００匹をばらまいた疑いがある。ミールワームはゴミムシダマシ科の甲虫の幼虫で、まかれた幼虫は体長約２ センチ、太さ２、３ミリ。座席下のすき間から、後ろの席にいた女性客の足元に向かってまいたという。ポケットやリュック内には、フィルムケースなどに入れ た幼虫約３６００匹を所持していたという。

　同様の被害が相次いでいたため巡回中の京阪電鉄社員が、幼虫がいた座席付近から立ち去ろうとした水田容疑者を不審に思い呼び止めた。車内を警戒中の府警鉄道警察隊員に引き渡したところ、容疑を認めたという。
